In the studio

Well it has all gone to plan assembling the artworks, for St Lukes and Langdale Primary schools, just a bit more finishing, tweaking and fitting and we should soon have some photos of them in situ!

Cutting, sewing and sticking

We will be working in the studio this week to assemble the textile work by pupils from St Lukes Primary and Langdale Primary. Looking forward to seeing how they look when they are finished.....

This is an example of a banner we have made previously with students from Thistley Hough High School.

St Lukes - pupil comments: 'What did we do? What did we learn?'

We drew our own 'Mini Me'. We drew around a template of a person. then we cut out shirts, trousers, skirts and shoes and stuck them on.
We learned about friendship. We learned that we need to respect people and they will respect us back. we also learnt that friendship is very important. We need to be kind and caring and we also need to treat people in the right way. we also learned about our community.

P.S. My best bit was drawing the 'Mini Me' because it was very interesting and creative.

Some 'Mini Me' examples

I learnt to share ideas and be more open to other people about my creative skills and also we had a good laugh and a joke.
We made minny me's and its a bit like making a mii on the wii really.
The best part for me was the bit when we made the little me.

St Lukes Primary School

The Cultural sisters worked with the 90 pupils at St Lukes on 18th, 19th, and 20th January. We had a brilliant time and everyone made us feel very welcome.

Each workshop began with us all considering and discussing how we can all get along and work together......
